**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic DENTAL ASSISTANT to join our team. The Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in assisting our doctors in providing exceptional patient care. .
**Responsibilities:**
Assisting During Dental Procedures: Dental assistants support dentists during various dental procedures by handing them instruments, holding equipment, and ensuring the patient's comfort.
Sterilizing and Preparing Instruments: They are responsible for sterilizing and preparing dental instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Taking and Developing X-Rays: Dental assistants may take and develop dental X-rays, following proper protocols and ensuring accurate images for diagnosis.
Providing Chairside Assistance: They provide chairside assistance to dentists during examinations, treatments, and surgeries, anticipating the dentist's needs and ensuring efficient workflow.
Educating Patients: Dental assistants educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dental procedures, and post-treatment care instructions to promote good oral health practices.
Maintaining Patient Records: They are responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and documentation, including updating medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Performing Office Tasks: Dental assistants perform various office tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, managing patient files, and handling billing and insurance claims.
Preparing and Cleaning Treatment Rooms: They prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are stocked and organized. After procedures, they clean and disinfect treatment areas for the next patient.
Assisting with Administrative Duties: In addition to clinical tasks, dental assistants may assist with administrative duties such as maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and managing correspondence.
Following Safety and Infection Control Procedures: Dental assistants adhere to strict safety and infection control protocols to minimize the risk of cross-contamination and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
**Requirements:**
- Must be organized, detailed oriented.- Must be a team player, reliable, functional- Previous dental experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
