Job Description
We are looking for a competent dental assistant who will make the dentistâs office more efficient and pleasant for patients. Youâll ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentistâs shoulders. We are in search of someone who is hard-working and detail-oriented to fill the position. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct and indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments- Take and develop dental x-rays, upon x-ray certification- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records- Manage patient flow- Assist with dental lab tasks, including pouring impressions and trimming models and scanning with a CEREC machine- Perform basic laboratory procedures such as mixing materials and pouring molds
Qualifications (Preferred, but not required):- Dental Assistant Certification or relevant experience- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments- Proficiency in CAD software for designing dental restorations- Familiarity with medical coding and Epic electronic health records system- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical documentation- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
