Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and have a positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration. As an RDA, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dentists and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. Responsibilities:
Provide chairside assistance to dentists during dental procedures, including but not limited to preparing treatment rooms, handing instruments, and maintaining patient comfort.
Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by dentists, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment for procedures, maintaining infection control standards and guidelines.
Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, obtaining medical histories, and explaining treatment plans and post-operative care instructions.
Maintain accurate patient records, including dental charts, treatment notes, and billing information, in compliance with privacy regulations.
Schedule patient appointments, manage the dental office's appointment calendar, and communicate with patients regarding appointments and follow-up care.
Perform various administrative tasks, such as answering phones, responding to patient inquiries, and processing insurance claims.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dental procedures, and preventive dental care to promote optimal oral health.
Collaborate with other dental professionals and office staff to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure a positive patient experience.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited dental assisting program and current registration as a Dental Assistant (RDA) in [insert state or region].
X-ray certification and experience in taking and developing dental X-rays.
Proficiency in dental software and computer skills for maintaining patient records and scheduling appointments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in patient care.
CPR certification is preferred but not required.
