Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and assisting dental professionals in various procedures. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and rewarding dental environment.
Duties:
- Assist dentists during examinations and treatment procedures- Prepare patients for dental procedures- Take and develop dental x-rays- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical records management- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures- Perform laboratory tasks such as making impressions of patients' teeth- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments- Perform administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Certificate or diploma from an accredited dental assistant program- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental software- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and general dentistry procedures- Ability to take vital signs and record patient information accurately- Understanding of medical terminology and anatomy- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
