Duties
- Greet patients and assist with check-in and registration processes.- Prepare patients for appointments by taking vital signs and providing necessary paperwork.- Assist dentists and hygienists with clinical procedures, including dental cleaning and exams.- Maintain a clean and organized dental environment, adhering to infection control protocols.- Utilize aseptic technique to ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of equipment and instruments.- Assist with endodontic procedures and maintain accurate records.- Familiarize yourself with pediatric dentistry and provide exceptional care to our youngest patients.- Utilize medical coding and medical records management to ensure accurate billing and record-keeping.- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.- Provide exceptional customer service, answering patient inquiries and addressing concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.- Completion of a dental assisting program or relevant experience.- Current certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred.- Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols.- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry and endodontic procedures.- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.- Basic knowledge of medical coding and medical records management.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and a positive patient experience.
