Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, promoting oral health, and ensuring a comfortable experience for patients of all ages. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively within a dental office environment.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop medical imaging using Dexis as needed to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
Assist with infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry by engaging with young patients to create a positive experience.
Skills
Proficient in dental hygiene practices, including knowledge of infection control standards.
Experience in a dental office setting, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry being a plus.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Ability to perform medical imaging procedures accurately and efficiently.
Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and effective communication.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental management software is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
