OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained and improved. This role requires a compassionate approach, strong communication skills, and a commitment to infection control and patient safety.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans.
Assist the dentist during procedures as necessary, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Monitor and record vital signs when required.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for patient management.
Stay updated on dental terminology and advancements in pediatric dentistry.

Experience

A degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program is required.
Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with medical coding, medical records management, and medical imaging is advantageous.
Knowledge of infection control practices is essential.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages.
