Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced dental office. This role requires a strong understanding of general dentistry, medical terminology, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for dental services.
Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with billing inquiries and process payments as needed.
Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional manner.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal care delivery.
Educate patients on treatment plans and procedures as necessary.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
Must know to work with dental software
Skills
Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques.
Experience with medical records systems and coding is preferred.
Understanding of pediatric dentistry concepts is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficient in using office software and dental management systems.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
