ABOUT THE JOB:
Fast growing general practice dental office in West Jordan is looking for a friendly, reliable, self-motivated, team oriented, dental assistant who is willing to grow. One full-time (32-40 hours/week) position is available. Hours are Mon 7:45am - 6:30pm, Tue by appointment, Wed and Thurs 7:45am-5:30pm and Friday 7:45-4:30pm. Occasionally we alter the hours to take a long weekend, attend training and/or vacation.

YOUR HISTORY LIKELY SHOWS:
-1 or more years of dental assisting experience

- Ability to record procedures in software real time while dentist is working
- Ability to explain costs and procedures to patient if front desk is not available

NOTES:
-Salary is negotiable (additional benefits, perks and/or bonuses are possible as practice grows and personal expertise is gained).
-Training will be provided for office specific systems and procedures.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Set up for dental procedures and prepare set ups for next day
Infection control (disinfection and sterilization procedures)
Organization of dental supplies, disposables, instruments and sterilization
Lab communication (in/out cases, phone calls)
Take digital X-Rays, Panoramic, Intraoral photos, impressions and pouring/trim models
Scheduling (break down tx plan into appts, set next visit, recall appt, call patients)
Dental Software inputs (treatment plan, update medical info, chief complain notes, tx notes, procedures completed)
Patient communication (greeting, understanding, empathy, chief complaint, dental procedures and post operatory instructions)
Hygiene assistance
Temporary crowns
Check patient in and out
Get office ready for the next day
Follow Instructions and implement with little to no direction after being trained
Ensure HIPPA/security/confidentially compliance with legal requirements
Communicate and work effectively with other team members
Fine tune and follow office systems
Ortho assisting
Minor additional details, tasks or projects as required
Taking initiative, being motivated, sharing workload equally with other assistants, helping the office and patients thrive
Have a great attitude and willing to learn
