Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in our clinic. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both patients and dental professionals.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
Manage infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Schedule appointments and assist with front desk duties as needed, including patient check-in and check-out processes.
Support pediatric dentistry practices by creating a welcoming atmosphere for young patients.

Qualifications

Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience with dental imaging techniques is preferred.
Knowledge of infection control practices in a dental setting.
Familiarity with general dentistry principles.
Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is advantageous.
Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively.
Strong organizational skills for managing medical records accurately.
Previous experience in a dental clinic is beneficial.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
