Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and promoting oral health. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients.
Review patient documentation and medical history to ensure comprehensive care.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the implementation of infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
Learn and utilize software for patient records management and scheduling.
Apply knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Collaborate with dentists in four-handed dentistry techniques during procedures.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
Maintain accurate records of treatments performed and follow up on patient care as necessary.
SkillsThe successful candidate should possess the following skills:
Proficient in documentation review and maintaining accurate patient records.
Experience dental practice management softwares.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices within a clinical setting.
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding.
Competence in four-handed dentistry techniques to assist during procedures.
Background in dental assisting is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively with pediatric patients, demonstrating patience and understanding.
Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy related to oral health.
