Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to our patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout their treatment. As a key member of our team, you will play an essential role in promoting oral health and hygiene while working closely with dentists and other staff.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings and scaling procedures to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient record management and appointment scheduling.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide excellent patient care in general dentistry settings.
Participate in pediatric dentistry procedures as needed, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
Conduct medical imaging procedures, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
Valid dental hygiene license in the state of Wyoming.
Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and hygiene practices.
Experience with dental assisting is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance standards.
Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental management systems is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Experience or interest in pediatrics is desirable but not mandatory.
