**Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities:**
- Assist doctors during a variety of dental procedures.- Break down operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists.
- Complete sterilization processes for equipment, instruments, and operatory rooms.- Follow maintenance schedules for waterline flushing, suction lines, waterline testing, autoclaves, and compressors (daily, weekly, or monthly).
- Set up trays and operatories for all procedures.
- Support patient charting for doctors.- Execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow within the practice.
- Follow OSHA regulations and Aspen safety requirements, ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Provide post-treatment oral care instructions to patients.- Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies for maintaining oral health.
- Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns.
- Monitor laboratory cases.
- Perform intraoral health scans.
- Take quality impressions and bite registrations.
- Perform various office tasks as necessary.
---**Education/Certification:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Dental Assistant license, registration, or certification as required by state.
- DANB RHS certified and/or radiology (X-ray) certification as required by state.
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
---**Experience, Skills & Abilities:**- Proficient in chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper sterilization and infection control techniques.
- Maintain and update Continuing Education (CE) requirements as specified by state.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
