Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, with experience in pediatric dentistry being a plus. This role involves assisting dentists during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Manage patient records, including medical coding and documentation using systems such as Epic.
Provide chairside assistance during endodontic procedures and other dental treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene care and post-treatment instructions.
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing the front desk when needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic to ensure a safe environment for patients.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a dental clinic setting.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures.
Knowledge of medical coding is preferred.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is advantageous but not mandatory.
Proficiency in using dental software systems, including Epic, is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant training is preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
