Pay: $20
Hours: Monday ââ¬â Thursday 7:30am-5pm and Friday 8am-12pm as needed
Responsibilities
Provide a warm greeting and escort patients of all ages to the appropriate operatory
Prepare instrument cassettes and set up materials for the procedures to be performed
Perform sterilization of contaminated dental instruments after appropriate training and follow standards of infection control protocol
Make accurate alginate impressions which are to be poured into diagnostic models
Make accurate and clear dental images including but not limited to: bitewings, periapicals, panoramic x-rays, CBCT, and intraoral photographs
Assisting procedures that include but are not limited to: fixed and removable prosthodontics, esthetic and non-esthetic direct restorations, oral surgery, & endodontics.
Provide assistance, when necessary, to other members of the dental team
The ability to briefly explain dental procedures and answer basic questions about treatment planning to the patient
Assist office personnel in times of patient health emergencies
Willingness to learn new technologies (impression scanning, digital restoration design, etc.)
Stay on task during and in between appointments
Our office highly values a passion and willingness to learn on the job
Dental assistants are highly encouraged to participate in continuing education courses with dentists and the team
Knowledge of Dental Software is a plus but not required
Education or Prior Experience
Completion of an ADAA dental assistance program
2+ years chairside experience
Demonstrated willingness to actively learn and undergo training may serve as substitution for previous experience
