Job Description
Overview
Ray Dental Group is seeking to add a full time dental assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the dental office. You will work as a supporting member of a multi doctor practice using state-of-the-art equipment. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to patient care, and proficiency in various dental procedures. Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Maintain strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to established aseptic techniques.
Document patient medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in Dentrix.
Utilize dental terminology effectively when communicating with patients and staff regarding procedures and treatments.
Assist in the management of patient flow within the office, ensuring timely appointments and minimal wait times.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment options available.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred for scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
Currrent dental radiology License
Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices relevant to dentistry.
Experience with dental coding is a plus for accurate billing processes.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate documentation.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, dentists, and other team members.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of dental assisting is highly valued.
