Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient education and care.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments of patients' oral health.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care in accordance with practice protocols.
Assist in the management of dental office systems to ensure smooth operations.
Adhere to aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
Monitor vital signs when necessary and report any concerns to the dentist.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Skills
Proficiency in working within a dental office environment, particularly in general dentistry settings.
Experience in dental assisting is a plus, enhancing the ability to support various procedures.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental practices.
Familiarity with medical records management systems to ensure accurate documentation.
Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients about their treatment plans and oral hygiene practices.
Understanding of aseptic techniques to uphold safety standards within the clinic.
