Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures, as well as proficiency in assisting with various dental treatments.
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas according to infection control protocols.
Take X-rays, as directed by the dentist.
Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans using Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment schedules and assist with patient intake processes.
Monitor vital signs when necessary to ensure patient safety.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy is essential.
Familiarity with imaging techniques and equipment.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous.
Ability to take vital signs and understand their significance in patient care.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages, including children.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.

Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
