Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental team in providing exceptional dental care. The ideal candidate will assist our dentists in various procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the pediatric dental office. This role requires a strong understanding of expanded functions dental procedures, excellent communication skills with team members and our pediatric patients, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare pediatric patients for treatment by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
Maintain an organized and sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques.
Perform four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures. along with independent expanded functions duties.
Manage documentation on Dentrix and maintain accurate patient records.
Assist with pediatric and general dentistry tasks.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the dental setting.
Qualifications
Previous experience as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of Dentrix and digital radiography is a plus.
Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy clinic setting.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 â 34 per week
