OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills, making it essential for the candidate to be organized, detail-oriented, and personable.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle patient inquiries in a professional manner.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Perform administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and managing medical records using dental software.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care.

Skills

Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Experience with Dentrix is highly desirable.
Familiarity with medical coding practices can be beneficial.
Knowledge of prosthodontics and endodontics is a plus.
Ability to take vital signs and understand basic medical records management.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
A background in dental reception duties can enhance the candidate's suitability for this role.
