Overview:
Seeking a full-time dental assistant for GP family & cosmetic dental practice. Looking for a hardworking team-player with a positive attitude and great communications skills. X-ray certification required, CPR certification not required but preferred. Hours are Monday-Thursday (8 am-5 pm) and only 2 half-day Fridays a month (8 am-1 pm). Duties:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures- Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment- Take dental radiographs (x-rays)- Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental treatment procedures- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
Experience:
The successful candidate should have experience or familiarity with the following skills:
- Dental assisting- Knowledge of dental software systems, or computer proficiency- Understanding of medical records management in a dental setting- Strong knowledge of infection control practices in a dental office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
