OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental services, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental team. Availibility of 2-3 days per week is preferable.
Duties

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Take and document vital signs to ensure patient safety and health.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to assist the dentist during procedures.
Conduct medical imaging procedures as needed, ensuring accurate documentation and patient comfort.
Review patient documentation for accuracy and completeness, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area and sterilization of instruments.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for patient records management.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience with medical coding is a plus but not mandatory.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures.
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of documentation review processes within a dental setting.
