Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Assist in the management of pediatric patients, ensuring a comfortable experience for children.
Review documentation and patient history to tailor care plans effectively.
Utilize Dentrix software for scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Experience
Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, with familiarity in general dentistry practices.
Knowledge of infection control standards and HIPAA regulations is essential.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental management software is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are required.
A valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist is mandatory.
