Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dentist and other staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the clinic while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth using appropriate tools and techniques.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Maintain accurate medical records using Dentrix software, documenting all procedures and patient interactions.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures as needed, providing compassionate care to younger patients.
Utilize aseptic techniques during all procedures to minimize the risk of infection.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans that meet the needs of each patient.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental systems.
Experience with infection control protocols and patient care best practices.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Compassionate demeanor with experience in pediatrics is a plus.
Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $61.74 - $63.61 per hour
Expected hours: 6 ââ¬â 20 per week
