Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and infection control. This role requires a strong understanding of dental practices, patient assessment, and effective communication skills to educate patients on oral health. Our practice operates out of two locations (Bainbridge and Silverdale) and is open Tuesday - Friday.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and evaluating oral health.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures with precision.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Utilize dental software systems, such as Dentrix, for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Experience

Previous experience in dental hygiene or a similar role
Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation review is essential.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices is crucial for maintaining patient safety.
Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Dentrix, is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for managing medical records effectively.
