OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained and improved. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical imaging, and general dentistry practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care in a friendly and professional environment.
Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Perform assessments of patients' oral health, documenting findings accurately.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize medical imaging systems to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
Review documentation to ensure compliance with dental office protocols and standards.
Maintain knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology to provide effective patient care.
Assist in the management of patient records using Dentrix or similar systems.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Requirements

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in dental office procedures and protocols.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience with medical imaging systems is preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient education.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Previous experience in general dentistry is an asset but not mandatory.
