Job Summary
ONE HOUR ADULT RECARE APPOINTMENTS. SCHOOL LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM AVAILABLE.We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health, and supporting the overall operations of the dental office. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and excellent patient communication skills.
Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Review and document patient medical histories and current medications.
Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by conducting thorough assessments.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
Ensure compliance with infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients.
Assist in various dental procedures as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred, particularly with patient care and documentation review.
Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.
Familiarity with infection control practices within a clinical environment.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus but not mandatory.
