Job Description

```Duties```- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth and gums, removing plaque and stains, and applying fluoride treatments- Take and develop dental x-rays- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care- Administer local anesthesia as needed- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation in the dental office system (Dentrix)- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
```Requirements```- Valid dental hygiene license in PA- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program- Proficiency in using dental office software (Dentrix or similar) for patient record management. Will provide on the job training.- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate assessments of patients' oral health- Familiarity with infection control protocols and adherence to safety guidelines
