Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during each visit. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient education, and the ability to work collaboratively with dentists and other staff members.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in patient records.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to assist the dentist during procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment following aseptic techniques.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions and documentation.
Use Dentrix software for scheduling, patient records management, and medical coding as required.
Stay updated on dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to patient care.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Experience in pediatrics or pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.
Proficient in using dental software, specifically Dentrix, is a plus.
Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with medical coding is advantageous but not required.
