Job Description
Dental Assistant
We are seeking a skilled and experienced dental assistant to join our office Right Dental Care team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for dentistry and a desire to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)
Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
Perform office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
Communicate with patients and suppliers (e.g. scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
Requirements:
Experience as a dental assistant
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated dental tasks as directed by the dentist
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
