Job Description
Job Title: County-Dental Hygienist (Onsite)
Client: FL-DOH-Marion county
Shift time: 8:00 AM â 5:00 PM Mon - Fri
Location: 1501 W. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL 34475
Interview â In Person only
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
Pediatric Experience highly preferred.
Pay rate: $35.91 per hour
WORK ENVORNMENT: Marion County Health Department or alternating school site locations.
DRESS CODE: Scrubs
TRAVEL: 10% of the time. May be assigned to a school site. Can ride with a state employee in a state vehicle. Normally will be an elementary school. Will be at the school for the entire day, not travel required during business hours.
TOOLS/EQUIPMENT: Dental hygiene tools, Eaglesoft and HMS computer software
JOB DESCRIPTION:
** Using dental instruments and hygiene equipment, performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.
** Instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.
** Assisting a high number of patients as required.** Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers.
SKILLS/EDUCATION NEEDED:**Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license** Must have a current/active CPR certificate** Knowledge of dental terminology** Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices** Skills using dental instruments and equipment and performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.** Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.** Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers in a way that promotes teamwork and the betterment of the residents of Marion County
** Bilingual (English/Spanish) â highly preferred** Pediatric Experience â highly preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
