Job Description

Legacy Dental of PA, PC is looking for a detail oriented, organized and dependable Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. This role demands excellent communication skills and organizational skills. An ideal candidate would be a forward focused individual who is able to build, refine, and develop systems to best serve the doctors and staff.
Detailed description of the job responsibilities includes, but are not limited to:

Assist the dentist with complex dental procedures.
Take and process x-rays of patients.
Schedule patient appointments.
Prepare exam rooms between appointments.
Sterilizing rooms, equipment and instruments.
Fully participate in Perfect Day huddles and meetings.
Oversee the upkeep of the facility and equipment of the practice.
Take advantage of every opportunity to promote the practice brand, invite new patients into the practice, and solicit testimonials.
Fully participate in all aspects of continuing education.
Complete thorough chart reviews and bring pertinent information to team meetings.
Use excellent verbal skills with the doctor, staff, and patients.
Manifest qualities of a self-directed team member.
Model excellent verbal skills with staff and patients.
Proactively communicate with the front office so they know any changes in treatment and what treatment needs to be done at the next appointment.
Participate in staff meetings with skills including facilitation, training, and problem-solving.
Take initiative when practice is running behind or under-staffed.
Assist front office when called upon for tasks including filing and pulling charts, organizing the inside of old charts, health histories that have had changes and specialist letters with the newest stapled to the top.
Embody the practice philosophy in all actions and decisions.
