Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within the office while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and positive interacting skills, making it essential for the candidate to be well-versed in dental procedures, infection control, and patient management systems.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling using Eaglesoft Dental software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following qualifications:
At least 2 years previous experience as a Dental Assistant.
Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices is essential.
Proficiency in using Eaglesoft dental software system is highly desirable.
Knowledge of dental coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient interaction and education.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
