Office Hours (Novi Location):

Monday: 8am-7pm
Tuesday: 8am-5pm
Wednesday: 10am-7pm
Thursday: 7am-2pm
Friday: Closed
Saturday: 8am-2pm (2x/month)
Note: schedule will be determined at time of hire and will consist of 4 weekdays and 1 Saturday/month.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentists through 4-handed dentistry
Take X-ray, CBCT scans
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the operatories clean and well-stocked
Maintain accurate patient records and update health history

Preferred Skills:

Proven experience as a dental assistant
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
High school diploma; graduating from a dental assistant program is preferred
Ability to learn new skills or methods: Additional certification or training is required
To be successful in this role, this individual should be well-organized with great attention to detail. They should also be able to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment, where we rely heavily on each other to provide exceptional patient outcomes.
