Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company's sole discretion and the wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At SNAHC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $153,011-$207,015.
Position Summary:
The dentist is a licensed professional oral health doctor who uses scientific methods for control and prevention of oral diseases. The Dentist will promote an environment of quality care, teamwork, and professional patient services. Additionally, they will practice dental health and impart health education information and techniques to the patient.
Essential Functions:
Provides hands-on dental care in a variety of settings while achieving the highest levels of approprieateness, quality, efficiency, accessibility and responsiveness.
Provide comprehensive dental care, services and preventative health education/techniques according to procedure for the patient while remaining adaptable and flexible.
Assess dental needs and refer patients as necessary to dental specialists or medical providers using medical staff protocols for referral, follow-up and quality assurance.
Perform dental procedures and services that are within the approved sills profile and/or scope of practice.
Oral Exam - Dentist will prepare treatment and instruct patient about plan before treatment ensues.
The Dentist will complete the following: Review Health History and medications and evaluate for medical consultations when necessary. Record baseline conditions by means of radiographs and clinical evaluation; Oral Cancer Screening; Hard tissue and periodontal charting; intra and extraoral photographs; perform oral myological or myofunctional evaluation as necessary; make referrals when necessary
All treatment documentation will be completed within 48 hours after treatment has been performed and must be in compliance with current billing criteria.
All procedures in compliance with current OSHA and State Infection Control Protocols.
Collaborate with Dental Treatment Coordinators on maintaining productive schedule.
Peer Review Audits performed quarterly.
Treat to the standards of care of dentistry and evidence based dentistry.
Maintaining communication with referrals when performing follow-up care.
Respond to Dental/Medical Emergencies.
Maintaining communication with Medical Practitioners regarding medical consultations
Train and guide the Dental Auxiliary when necessary.
Maintain order in operatory so patients are not disturbed.
Participation/Representation in company sanctioned, local outreach events.
Become affiliated faculty with schools and universities to supervise RDA, DA, RDH and RDAEF2 students and employees.
Must maintain at least 3 columns.
Accommodating to last minute changes to schedules and support staff.
Compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations, as they pertain to position including; HIPAA, sexual harassment, Scope of Practice, OSHA etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a license provided by the California State Board of Dental Examiners.
Experience with electronic health record system required.
Ability to chart visits comprehensively and complete E&M coding in compliance with dental coding standards.
Must possess a current DEA license and CPR/BLS certification.
Registered with CURES.
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with executive staff, administration, peers, supervisors and subordinates.
Must successfully complete the provider credentialing process in accordance with National Accreditation requirements.
Ability to work well under pressure, reach sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
