Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while managing administrative tasks within a busy dental office. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations and a welcoming environment for patients.
Previous dental experience and knowledge of Dentrix required.
Mondays 8 am-6 pm.
Thursdays 8 am-7 pm.
Saturdays 8 am - 2pm.
With the possibility of more hours if desired.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage health information in compliance with regulations.
Process patient insurance claims and verify coverage details.
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
Utilize computerized systems for appointment scheduling, patient management, and billing processes.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Skills
Strong front desk experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
Proficiency in dental administrative support tasks, including scheduling and patient management systems.
Excellent patient service skills with a focus on creating a positive experience for all visitors.
Familiarity with dental terminology and health information management practices.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff effectively.
Experience with computerized systems relevant to medical or dental offices is highly desirable.
