Job Description
Introduction:
Join our compassionate and growing pediatric dental team! We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and caring dental assistant to support our sedation dental procedures. In this role, you will assist our dentists with pediatric dental procedures under IV sedation as well as under general anesthesia at Childrenââ¬â¢s Hospital of WI. This role will travel between our 4 pediatric dental offices and Childrenââ¬â¢s Hospital Main Campus and Surgery Center as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the pediatric dentist during sedation dental procedures.
Prepare patients and treatment areas before procedures, including setting up instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is sterile and ready.
Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and their families, answering any questions they may have.
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting sedation procedures, post operative phone calls and appropriate follow up.
Maintaining inventory of dental supplies used during sedation procedures
Assist administrative staff in scheduling of IV Sedation procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience in pediatric dentistry, including sedation cases, is highly preferred.
Knowledge of sedation techniques and monitoring equipment is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented attitude.
