Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans using dental software such as Epic.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and perform basic dental receptionist duties as needed.
Support pediatric dentistry procedures with a caring approach towards young patients.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry standards.
Skills
Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and procedures.
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assistance.
Familiarity with medical coding practices related to dentistry.
Experience with infection control measures and aseptic techniques.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
Competence in using dental software systems, particularly Denticon, for record management.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 ââ¬â 40 per week
