Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures and within the office.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts, including medical history and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups to ensure efficient office operations.
Handle dental materials and assist with the preparation of treatment rooms.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, particularly in pediatrics when necessary.
Qualifications
Proficient knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control procedures.
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Familiarity with medical terminology and record management systems is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
A commitment to providing compassionate care and a positive patient experience.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
