Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with a strong passion for patient care and a keen eye for detail. You will play a crucial role in assisting our dentists in providing top-notch dental services, including surgical and aesthetic procedures.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.
Prepare patients for dental procedures, including administering local anesthesia and providing post-operative care instructions.
Assist dentists during surgical and aesthetic procedures, such as implant placement, extractions, and cosmetic dentistry.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Clinical Duties:
Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Prepare treatment rooms and set up trays with necessary instruments and materials.
Take dental x-rays and impressions.
Assist with laboratory procedures as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Administrative Tasks:
Schedule patient appointments and manage appointment confirmations.
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
Assist with billing and insurance claims.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies.
Qualifications:
Education and Licensing:
Valid Dental Assistant certification or license.
Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience.
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in dental assisting, with a strong emphasis on surgical and aesthetic procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Proficiency in dental software and technology.
A positive and empathetic attitude.
