OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. You will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a sterile environment in compliance with health regulations.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when required.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Support pediatric patients with a caring approach, making their visits comfortable and positive.

Skills

Proficiency in dental assisting practices and knowledge of dental terminology.
Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic is preferred.
Strong understanding of infection control procedures in a dental setting.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients of all ages, particularly in pediatrics.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
