Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team in various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to aseptic techniques.
Take medical imaging, including X-rays, and ensure proper documentation of results.
Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide support in pediatrics by making children feel comfortable during their visits.
Manage dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Assist with prosthodontics procedures as needed, ensuring all materials are prepared in advance.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and aseptic protocols is highly desirable.
Familiarity with dental receptionist tasks, including appointment scheduling and patient management.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and understand basic medical documentation processes.
Experience or interest in pediatrics is a plus, with an emphasis on creating a friendly environment for young patients.
Proficiency in using 3D scanning technology is advantageous but not required.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy practice setting.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
