A pediatric dental assistant's job is to provide oral health care for children in a dental office, working under the direction of a dentist. Pediatric dental assistants need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to work with children of all ages. They should also have a calm personality, be patient, and be respectful of patients, even when they disobey or misunderstand commands
Duties Include:

Preparing treatment rooms for patient by following detailed procedures and protocols.
Sterilizing tools
preparing patients for treatment
Assist the dentist during procedures
Take X-rays
Scheduling appointments
Maintain medical record
Teach children and their families about proper brushing and flossing techniques, and the importance of oral health
Guide children through procedures, by supporting them during anxious moments, and making them feel cared for
Preparing patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
Sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access
Documents dental care services by charting in patient records.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Friendly and outgoing
Experienced candidates preferred
Experienced in pediatric dentistry
Every Wednesday. Friday and Saturday when needed
