Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental practice. This position could be either part time or full time. The office is open from Monday through Thursday. NO late nights and NO Fridays!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history.
Perform dental cleanings and apply preventive treatments such as sealants and fluoride.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in the dental office.
Maintain aseptic technique to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
Document patient care accurately in accordance with office protocols and regulations.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, dental terminology, and general dentistry practices.
Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required.
Proficient in patient assessment techniques and vital sign monitoring.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Previous experience in a dental office setting is an advantage but not mandatory.

Pay: $40.00 - $44.00 per hour
Expected hours: 9 ââ¬â 36 per week
