OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team four days a week. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and will possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices. This role is crucial in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients while promoting preventive care and education.
Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
Provide dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to maintain optimal oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the documentation review process to ensure accurate patient records.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Utilize medical imaging technologies for diagnostic purposes, ensuring high-quality images are captured.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry practices and techniques.

ExperienceCandidates should have a background in dental, with experience in the following areas considered beneficial:

Patient assessment and management
CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technologies
Medical and dental coding for accurate billing and insurance processing
Proficient knowledge of Open Dental or similar electronic health record systems
Proficient knowledge of infection control standards within a dental clinic setting
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus
