Job Description

Our office is looking to add a second hygienist to our team! We are a private practice in Cary, who focus on patient education and care. We'd love to have someone who is wiling to work 3 and/or 4 days.
Fun fact - Dr. Stephen Harward is a hygienist turned dentist!
DUTIES- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including: cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth- Take dental x-rays (must be x-ray certified)- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral care instructions- Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in electronic dental records systems- Conduct patient assessments, including medical history review and oral health screenings- Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional comprehensive patient care
QUALIFICATIONS- Valid state dental hygiene license- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred, but not required- Knowledge of dental systems and procedures- Familiarity with dental coding for dental procedures- Strong interpersonal and communication skills- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity- Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
Experience with Open Dental is preferred, but not required. We are open Tuesday-Thursday from 8AM-5PM, with arrival time at 7:45AM. Fridays are from 8AM-3PM.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $52.00 - $56.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
