Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the dentist during patient procedures, performing expanded duties, and ensuring that patients have a comfortable experience.
Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist with a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, crowns, bridges, and oral surgery/implant placement.
Perform expanded duties, such as coronal polishing, placing sealants, taking impressions, and fabricating temporary crowns.
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain an organized and clean work environment.
Take radiographs and ensure proper patient records are kept up-to-date.
Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices.
Provide chair-side assistance and support during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials.

Qualifications:

Valid EFDA Certification from an accredited program.
Current CPR and Radiology Certification.
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, with at least 2 years of experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred:

Experience with digital radiography and dental software.
Knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA regulations.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 28 per week
