Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires proficiency in various dental assisting tasks, familiarity with dental software, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and develop dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocols for radiation exposure.
Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage infection control procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.
Utilize Eaglesoft or similar dental software for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing processes.
Support endodontic procedures by preparing materials and instruments as needed.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Requirements
Proven experience in dental assisting or completion of a dental assistant program.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.
Proficiency in using dental systems such as Eaglesoft is preferred.
Knowledge of medical imaging techniques related to dentistry.
Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively while following all regulations.
Strong communication skills to interact with patients and team members professionally.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records.
A commitment to continuous learning in the field of dentistry.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week
