Private Oral Surgery practice currently looking for a surgical dental assistant who will represent our group practice in a positive manner, is a team-player and reliable. Excellent phone etiquette and professional behavior.
This candidate should be self-motivated, have excellent organizational skills to multi task and be energetic willing to learn.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist the doctor in surgery, monitor and escort patients, sterilize instruments, take care of equipment and ordering supplies.
Other duties include: Ordering and storage of surgical supplies, Implants, DEA Drug Logs, IV Logs, taking xrays (PA's, Panoramic and Cone Beam CT Scan. Sending out Pathology and following up with Biopsies.
Answer telephones, schedule appointments, check in/check out.
Comply with all Safety, Emergency, Hazard, OSHA, HIPAA, Clinical, Quality Assurance and Administrative Plans, Policies, Guidelines, Protocol, and Standards
Requirements for Position:
Prior oral surgery assistant experience required (5 Years assisting Oral surgeons).Working for an Oral Surgeon Practice as the Lead Dental assistant. Experience with Impacted Wisdom Teeth, Implants, Bone Grafting (PRF),exposure of teeth and IV Anesthesia/Sedation/nitrous .knowledge and use of Dental terminology (CDT).
