Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our dentists and hygienists in providing exceptional patient care, while also maintaining a clean and efficient dental practice.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, and managing patient records.- Perform radiology and maintain accurate records.- Take and develop dental X-rays, as well as assist with intraoral photography.- Provide oral health education to patients and help them understand their treatment plans.- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment.- Maintain a clean and organized dental practice, including the reception area, treatment rooms, and sterilization area.- Handle patient scheduling, billing, and medical documentation.- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Skills:
- Proven experience in a dental setting, preferably as a dental assistant.- Strong understanding of medical terminology and dental procedures.- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry and the ability to work effectively with children.- Proficiency in medical coding and dental software, including Eaglesoft and Epic.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work effectively in a four-handed dentistry environment.- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.- Familiarity with medical documentation and the ability to produce clear and concise reports.- Experience working as a dental receptionist and providing exceptional customer service.- Experience in endodontics and the ability to assist with procedures.- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) is preferred.
- Dental Radigraphy Certification preferred; but willing to certify the right candidate
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
